I live in Pittsburgh. I love it here. Its home for me. So I would like to share a few *facts about my city.

• Nursing homes in Pittsburgh actually out number people over the age of 80 by a 2 to 1 ratio.
  

• Walt Disney, while not from Pittsburgh, spent 4 years in our fair city. Watching the barges carrying coal was his inspiration for his early cartoon "Steam Boat Willie"

• There has been a petition to congress circulating for 25 years to make Pittsburgh the new capital of Pennsylvania. Its never passed because of other petitions for Philadelphia, State College and Etna to become the state capital.

• Over 1203 major motion pictures have been filmed, in whole or in part, in Pittsburgh, including the The Mothman Prophecies, Cloverfield, Wonder Boys, Across the Universe Dogma, Hoffa, 3 Men and a Baby and The Silence of the Lambs.

• Pittsburgh has given us words like Yinz and Stillers but other words to come out of Pittsburgh include Layout, Media, Micro, Miniature and Clip.
